September 2005
1. What did we do this month?
--Sent survey to all hs teachers for upcoming ITLT training sessions and analyzed results
--Sent instructions to all hs staff on how to setup accounts for both the CCIU Video Booking System and United Streaming Videos
--Reviewed Digital TechnologyPlan for ITLT meeting
--Morning mobile lab setup help to: Badaracco, Martelli, Dan Mitchell, Devereaux, Murray, Koepp-Baker, etc.
--LCD and Laptop Assistance to: Badaracco, Worrell, Boyes, Brynildsen, Bixler, etc.
--CCIU & United Streaming Video Integration Assistance to: McCuster
--Creating a teacher webpage (Zook) using Dreamweaver with assistance from Forba-Mayer
--IGPro Assistance including help setting up a gradebook to: Strahlau, Canby, DeLio, Calio, Math Teachers, Science Teachers, etc.
--New e-mail program help to: Schrader, Grugan, Strawhecker, Murray, DeFrate, Falkenau, Everett, Science teachers, etc.
--Helped Everett resolve Desktop issues involving Word
--Currently upgrading the school cable TV distribution system
--Made 6 or more 25' long CAT 5 cables for the new department carts (will be making more of them as needed)
--Uploading Dreamweaver teacher files to: Zook, Fought, Held, etc.
--SASI Assistance to: Badaracco, Murray, and others
--Digital camera assistance to: Tracey Phillip
--Set-up shared folders for student use for Zook's classes
--Helped Rich Scott-Harper and Jeff Bowlby with their new LCD projectors
--Helped teachers fix errors in their gradebook for the In-Touch transfer
--Freshman orientation to "Library Services"
--Attended Tristate Young Adult Book Review Committee Meeting at the Bryn Mawr Public Library
--Attended Special Education meeting on the new "Scan and Read software and equipment"
--Trained a small group of Special Education teachers on how to use the new scanner to scan a document and then have the software read the page scanned - will be helpful for Special Education and ESL
--Will need to rebuild Winnebago Spectrum database used for Library functions due to an "Error 69 error"
2. What do we have planned for next month?
--Review United Streaming and how it can be implemented better in classroom instruction with a possible cybercafe on the software
--Dreamweaver cybercafe offered to all
--IGPro cybercafe for new teachers at mentor/mentee meeting
--Continue to make additional 25' long CAT 5 cables
3. What help do we need from district resources?
--Get my Linksys into the ceiling to finish the wireless system for my Tablet PC (Brady)
--The 10 new department issued LCD projectors with carts - need proper power strips installed
4. Who would we recommend to participate in techmentoring with Joyce and Craig?
--Perhaps a new teacher -- we can ask at the hs mentor/mentee meeting in October
5. What steps did we take this month to publicize the ITLT Services?
--Sent e-mails to all staff regarding United Streaming and the CCIU Booking System
--Sent an e-mail to staff reminding people of things they needed to fix in IGPro fo it to work properly and that e-mail reminded the staff that we were here to help them
--Updated ITLT brochure and distributed the brochure to all mailboxes and put extras in the Faculty Mailroom
