October 2003

What did we do this month?
-HOMECOMING . . . HOMECOMING . . . HOMECOMING - take digital photos & video for events
-Edit photographs for web ; edit video footage with Joyce Perry to create IMovie
-Helped guidance organize AUP's into a usable format
-Helped individual teachers use Outlook e-mail
-H.S. ITLT group met to discuss last month's ITLT meeting & ways to obtain IT professional development
-Updated web pages
-Helped troubleshoot hardware/software issues in various classrooms and in labs
-Worked with individual classes/teachers with mobile labs
-Freshman orientation to Library services and POWER Library
-Freshman orientation to eDISCOVER program
-Helped individual teachers use LCD projectors
-Helped individual teachers use Power Point, Word, and Excel
-Assisted individual teachers with SASI
-Helped individual teachers use POWER Library for classroom instructional resources
-Trained students and individual teachers how to use the new "thin client" lab in Room 301

What do we plan on doing next month?
-Continue to orient freshman to POWER Library and Library resources
-Continue to orient freshman to eDISCOVER program
-Continue to support teachers with school e-mail, POWER Point, Excel, Word, Web Help Desk, SASI, and other programs
-Maintain web pages
-Homecoming festivities will be organized into web format with Joyce Perry
-Meet with HS ITLT group to formulate new technology offerings
-Offer technology training for new ITLTs
-Get HS mobile labs set up with printers (new hardware arrived - now waiting for installation.)

What questions do we have?
-Did we hire a new tech for our H.S.?
-Printer cartridges for English Computer Lab (505) and Room 301 (library's computer lab) - since multiple and departments use the 505 lab, the English department feels that they should not be totally responsible for purchasing the ink cartridges for the printer. In addition the Library's printers are being used by many teachers throughout the building as their primary printer.

What did we do this month?
-Teacher training as a group for SASI, Outlook, Web Help Desk, and Mobile Labs
-Helped individual teachers use Outlook e-mail
-ITLT group met to discuss basics of program
-Updated web pages
-Worked with individual classes with mobile labs
-Freshman orientation to Library services and POWER Library
-Freshman orientation to eDISCOVER program
-Helped individual teachers use LCD projectors
-Helped individual teachers use Power Point, Word, and Excel
-Assisted teachers with Power Point presentations for Open House
-Assisted individual teachers use Class XP and SASI
-Helped individual teachers use POWER Library for classroom instructional resources
-Trained students and individual teachers how to use the new "thin client" lab in Room 301

What do we plan on doing next month?
-Continue to orient freshman to POWER Library and Library resources
-Continue to orient freshman to eDISCOVER program
-Continue to support teachers with school e-mail, POWER Point, Excel, Word, Web Help Desk, SASI, and other programs
-Maintain web pages
-Homecoming festivities will be captured and developed into video and digitial camera clips
-Meet with HS ITLT group to formulate new technology offerings
-Offer technology training for new ITLTs
-Get HS mobile labs set up with printers (we're waiting for the correct hardware)

What questions do we have?
-Did new hardware come in for printers for mobile labs (HS Library labs)?
-Will we be able to offer stipends for individual teachers who come for technology training sessions?
-How are we handing pictures on web for high school?
